Senior Tax Analyst

The Tax Analyst will join the finance team reporting to the Tax Manager. This individual will play an important role in pulling together the required information in order to prepare the Company’s quarterly and annual tax provision. They will also play a critical role in working with our 3rd party tax return preparer in completing our federal and state tax filing obligations. The individual will work closely with the business units, finance, and treasury as well as with our external financial auditors. The candidate must have strong communications skills, oral and written, with the ability to work effectively cross-functionally.

Key Responsibilities of our Tax Analyst:
  • Calculate permanent and temporary differences for inclusion in the Company’s quarterly and year-end tax provision
  • Review the company’s US federal and state income tax returns, as well as any foreign taxes
  • Calculate required estimated tax payments for federal and state returns
  • Perform research on tax issues affecting the Company including documenting and concluding upon findings in written memo format in order to support positions
  • Respond to information document requests by taxing authorities
  • Continue to enhance our strong control environment by creating/maintaining internal memos for our key processes and procedures
  • Develop and maintain relationships throughout the finance organization to increase understanding of the business and keep current with transactions and/or other changes/activities that may affect the tax results
  • Assist with special projects and modeling as related to corporate initiatives, legislative proposals, and acquisitions/divestitures as needed

Required Skills of our Tax Analyst:
  • BS degree in accounting required
  • MST and/or CPA a plus
  • 4-7 years related work experience in public accounting and/or private industry
  • Excellent collaboration, verbal and written communication skills
